The term "supermicro" is used as an adjective like supercharged or supersonic. "CMS" is an abbreviation of content management system. "superMicro CMS" (the program) is a combination of the two and names a system to make and manage web content, not a company.

Note: there is no connection whatsoever (and never was) between this system and one officially called Micro CMS. They are entirely different systems.
